The term “bucolic dress” is a wonderful way to describe effortless and carefree summer attire that looks stylish. I confess that I couldn’t resist the appeal of looking dressed up, without actually having to make an effort.
It confirmed that I wanted one, but the price was too high. I want a dress that I don’t have to worry about spilling my Dunkin’ Cold Brew on. This is why I was so excited when I discovered a similar version of the Nap Dress by the same brand on Amazon, priced at just under $40. This dress, along with thousands of other fashionable items, is priced at a price that’s unbeatable compared to the more expensive options available.

The nap dress I ordered from Amazon arrived in the mail and I put it on immediately. It was as light as I had expected. This sweet summer dress also met my strict rule: it couldn’t be transparent. It’s annoying to put on a dress for summer, then have to wear a slip under it, or worse still, find another pair of underwear in order to avoid VPL.
In the first week I owned this cotton dress, unfortunately, I caught the flu. This lightweight, stretchy dress was all I could wear on my grudging walk to the urgent care. It hurt everywhere! It was such a relief to be able to wear something that I could easily slip on and take off without looking as sick as I did.
This baby’s bust remained soft and stretchy even after several washings. The only thing I would add is that you should let it dry on a rack instead of in the dryer. This will preserve the elastic. It only took about a couple hours for it to be completely dry because it’s lightweight.

The dress was again tested during the summer of last year in New York. The sweltering temperatures would have been worse with a fitted-bust, balloon-sleeved dress. But it was a pleasure to wear. My nap dress was perfect for the 91 degree heat. It kept me cool and dry. Even on the crowded subway, I didn’t feel that sticky feeling which usually comes with hot summer days in New York City.
This nap dress is the perfect throw-around dress. This dress is so good that I have already added two more colors to my Amazon shopping cart.
